Chapter 01 · Why it's different

Built for how videos are actually written

Not a single text box. A workspace that understands structure, keeps your drafts safe, and is upfront about what AI can and can't do.

  1. 00:00

    Scripts shaped by format

A tutorial, a documentary and a listicle need different structures. Choose from 17 formats and get a draft built for that kind of video — hook, sections, transitions, ending and CTA.

  2. 00:37

    Edit section by section

Expand one section, sharpen the hook, rework the ending or shift the tone without regenerating everything. The previous text goes to version history first.

  3. 01:14

    Honest about facts

The AI can't browse the web, so claims that need checking are marked [VERIFY] and listed at the end. Paste your own research into reference notes to ground the draft.

  4. 01:51

    Local-first projects

No account. Projects, versions and preferences live in your browser. Export a backup file whenever you like and restore it anywhere.

  5. 02:28

    Your choice of model

Run it with the Anthropic API or point it at a local, OpenAI-compatible model server so generation requests don't go to a hosted AI provider.

  6. 03:05

    Take it anywhere

Copy a section or the whole script, export to text, Markdown or JSON, or print a clean copy and save it as a PDF.

Chapter 02 · Inside the workspace

One brief, every format around it

Scripts, hooks, titles and descriptions share the same brief, so everything for a video stays consistent. Try the tabs.

Chapter 03 · Ten tools

Pick the job, get the draft

Each tool does one thing well and saves to the same local project library.

All tools

Chapter 04 · How it works

From idea to draft in three chapters

  1. Step 1

    Write a brief

Topic, audience, format, length and tone. Add keywords, a CTA and any research you've already verified.

  2. Step 2

    Get a structured draft

A full script with a hook, sections, visual cues and an estimated runtime based on your speaking pace.

  3. Step 3

    Refine, then repurpose

Tighten it in the editor, then turn it into Shorts, a description, titles and posts with the tools.

Chapter 05 · Who it's for

Different channels, the same need: a clear script

Faceless channels

Narration-first scripts with a [VISUAL] cue under every paragraph, so editing starts with a shot list instead of a blank timeline.

Educators and explainers

Sequence a complex topic step by step, simplify the language for a younger audience, and generate an outline before committing to a full script.

Gaming channels

Structure a guide or story video around key moments, then pull out a 45-second Short with captions and a looping ending.

Freelancers and agencies

Turn a client conversation into a reusable video brief, draft from it, and export clean Markdown to hand over.

Small businesses

Explain a product or service clearly without hype, with a CTA that fits what the viewer just learned.

Podcasters

Plan an interview outline with question blocks and follow-ups, then repurpose the episode into posts and an email.

Chapter 07 · FAQ

Straight answers

More detail on data handling is on the privacy page.

Do I need an account to use YTScriptPro?

No. There is no sign-up, login or subscription. Open the app and start writing. Your projects are saved in your own browser.

Where are my scripts stored?

In your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on this device. They are not synced to other devices and clearing your browser data removes them, so export a backup from Settings or the Projects page to keep a copy.

Is my content sent anywhere?

Only when you generate. Your brief or script is sent to this server, which forwards it to the AI provider the site owner configured. With a hosted provider like the Anthropic API, that provider processes your text. With a local model, it stays on the machines running it.

Does it work without an AI provider configured?

Partly. You can write and edit scripts by hand, use the example script, manage and export projects, and read the blog. AI generation shows a clear setup message instead of fake output until a provider is configured.

Will the scripts be accurate?

Treat every draft as a starting point. The AI has no web access and can be wrong. Claims that need checking are marked [VERIFY], but you are responsible for fact-checking before you publish.

Can it predict how many views a video will get?

No, and it doesn't pretend to. There are no performance scores or ranking predictions — just writing help built on craft principles.
